Subject: Library adds Computer Usage Fee to non-patrons
At the August Library Board of Directors meeting, the Board voted to add a computer usage fee for non-patrons. The new fee for computer and internet usage for non-card patrons will assist in computer maintenance and internet costs. Currently, the library has three public access computers with internet availability. These computers are in use constantly, and maintenance costs have increased with this increased usage. To continue to provide this service, adding a fee for those patrons who do not have a current library card was the only fair way, according to Board members.

City residents – property taxes provide fee

Non-residents (outside the city limits) - $50.00/year

Late Fines - $.10 per day per book and $.50 per day per video item – up to replacement cost of item

Interlibrary loans – no charge to order – charged for overdue items

Lost Items – replacement cost of item

Photocopying - $.15 per page/ $.20 per page to print from computer

Computer and Internet usage - $1.00 per hour for all non-card holding patrons

Computer disks - $1.00
